How to Add Favicon to Blogger Blog

I have told and discussed so many times about the On page Search engine optimization of blogger blog. As word press has so many advanced tools to create dynamic website or blog. But if you are having a blogger blog let me tell you, you are going to do some effort for each and every thing to setup. Though blogger is free of cast and it has free hosting but still it is quite difficult and requires hard work to set up better design. To add favicon to blogger blog, you will have to follow certain process. 

Mean while you can also read “How to create blogger menu buttons“.  As i always say On page design do not matter much but still it has some worth. If you are having good design for your blog then you have certain benefits. First of all your site rankings will be better than the blog having bad design. Secondly Google ads approval also depends On page design besides your blog content. Without further discussion let me tell you what is favicon and how to add or setup favicon for your blogger blog.

What is Favicon?

Favicon is the icon which is located on left side of your blog tab with the website name. It is the small logo which represents your site. For blogger blog, the default favicon is blogger logo. When the user add favicon, this logo will be replaced to your own icon.

How to Generate Favicon?

To create favicon can not be a human task. There are certain tools which allow you to get free icon for your blog. You can also convert any .PNG .JPEG image in icon form to use. You will have to use square image. After converting and to add favicon, the size will be 16*16 or 32*32.Here are the list of sites from where you can generate your blog icon easily.

How to Add favicon to Blogger

After creating, Now the time to add favicon in blogger. To add favicon just follow the step by step guide with the image which will help you to do it easily.

• Go to blogger Dashboard
• Click on Layout option from left column.

• 4under head section, click edit just below the favicon icon.
• 5you will notice blogger icon by default.
• Choose favicon of size 16*16 or 32*32 from your Pc , laptop etc.
• 7click save.

• 1Copy the code below and paste it just above it.

• 1To add favicon ,copy the link of favicon image and paste it between single inverted commas above.

How to Get Favicon image link ?

Usually when you publish some thing you can only get the link of that particular image. You can upload icon image any where to get link. But if you don’t find any place to upload. Then i will suggest to create new page in blogger and upload the image there. Publish the page , this page will not appear in your blog posts.Open the page and open the favicon image in new tab. Copy the link and paste it above. To add favicon, there is nothing more to do 🙂
