Why I Prefer Blogger Over WordPress

 

Blogging is growing even today and many new people step in this industry everyday. Blogging has a great scope and is (for me) the best way to express your views and ideas to a comparatively larger and broader audience than social media. It can reach out to thousands of people and may even get noticed by the big companies you are referring your concern. 

But most of us prefer a smaller and simpler platform to start with for better understanding of  Blogging and How it Works. People can start with any blogging platform they want like Blogger or WordPress the two most common and trusted platforms on Internet. Now there is a huge debate between people to choose Blogger or WordPress depending on their preferences and requirements. 

For people who want simple layout which is easy to understand, offer free themes to choose and provide Google level security, then go for Blogger.

If you want ton of different options and customization with plugins and SEO friendly theme, then go with WordPress. Now free WordPress (that is wordpress.com) is not great for those who want free things because there offer very less variety of themes and do not support adsense as well. So I will not recommend going with WordPress if Free things are your preferences.  

This Blog is mainly focused for People who use Blogger.

INTRODUCTION: 
Blogger is powered by Google and is a free service that provide you a great variety of themes and gadgets. It is great for beginners.

Many Pro Bloggers have started their Blogging career with Google Blogger. It helps you learn about blogging and develops your concepts related to it! It is easy and simple to use and provides a variety of features to the users.

I use Blogger because:

I like its simplicity and it is easy to use and customize

I need not to worry about backing up my data because google keeps it secure 
+
Even if you want to buy a custom Domain Name, it is a lot cheaper than others
+
It is easy to handle
+
Lots of free Themes to choose. You can also download and add custom themes to your blogs
+
I don't like messy and complicated things.

PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS


Reason #1


It is Simple and Easy to use. It is way more easier to customize than WordPress This happens because you have no access to half of most important things on WordPress.com . 



Reason #2


If you are on Blogger, then you need not to worry about Security. Google takes good care regarding security issues. It is probably most secure blogging platform on Internet. Whereas you may need to look at WordPress Security Issues. Security is not your headache on Blogger.

Reason #3


Custom Domain Name. Even though both provide custom domain name at reasonable prices, you get Domain name on Blogger for $13-15/Year whereas you need to may almost $4/Month for most basic plan on WordPress! I know it is not a deal breaking thing to mention... but still. 

Reason #4


Free Themes! When it comes to free things, nothing can beat blogger. It provide you a wide variety of free themes which can be customized easily. You can download your own themes from a third party site as well. There are many SEO Friendly themes for blogger provided by Gooyaabi Templates and Pro Template Slab. You can add all king of gadgets too with just some altering in HTML coding which is not that hard. Just follow the steps mentioned by other sites and pages for Customizing your blog. It is really simple.



There are constant updates on Blogger too these days and looks like it is getting better and better everyday providing new services and options to its users.  



It has an advantage of  Google AdSense   that can be used to monetize your blog after your blog fulfills the AdSense requirements. So you can start making money without investing even a single penny!

I know there are not many reasons why to choose Blogger over WordPress. But it feel simple and comfortable blogging on Blogger. If you decide to choose Free WordPress instead, I promise you will get frustrated very soon and will leave blogging. It happened with me few years back!



Oh I forgot the best part! 

Views. I don't know how but you get relatively more views on Blogger than WordPress. And I'm not just saying, I have proof !
